really want to make this bag. might be a tad difficult though. any tips??

ive designed a little hole for ear phones

the purse attatched is a cassette that could go if wanted into the hidden pocket which is the slot which u put the cassette into between the speakers.

what do you all think??

It looks like it will be awesome! I love the little hole for the earphones (will you have a pocket inside to hold your MP3 player?) and the secret "cassette" pocket.

I don't think it will be very difficult, just time consuming. You could use a grommet for the place where the headphones come out. Are you going to use felt for all of the boom box elements? You might be able to adhere the pieces together with double-sided interfacing.

To help it keep it's "box" shape, I'd use a good stiff interfacing. Plus, I'd make the bottom and sides (left and right) of the bag out of a long strip of fabric to give it the proper definition.

I've never attempted anything like this, so I don't know if my tips will be helpful, but I can't wait to see the finished product!

Felt applique isn't difficult.  I agree that this is begging to be a bag.
