"I think you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed." Meet Marvin, the Paranoid Android from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

Here's my reference picture:

This guy was just crying out to become an amigurumi. He was only the second stuffie I've made, and my first amigurumi! I used the "Amigurumi Dude" pattern from CrochetMe.org for inspiration and to get some of the techniques down, but then just went from the picture. Hope everyone likes him, and good luck to the rest of the challenge entries!

He looks great! I really like the way you've adapted the design.

Thanks! And yes, I liked the book better. The movie was great in its own way, but the book ... you just can't replace it!

Thank you!

Haven't heard the radio plays, but the book was better than the movie (anyone remember the infocom game??  Grin  ).  Cute amigurumi, though!

Tee-hee! I'm having flashbacks to the book! The poor thing! You need to crochet him a bottle of Prozac or something...

It's too bad you couldn't insert a little pull-string voice box with recorded sayings on it (I have no idea if it is even possible!). That would be a hoot! But, sadly, we'll just have to imagine him speaking in his very depressed tone of voice...sigh...
