don't know if I'm posting in the right forum or not, but YEARS ago (10+) when I was in college we made a kind of a loom from a comb and used it to make a (very small) tapestry. I THOUGHT it was called swedish knot tapestry, but google searching it came up with nothing. I would love to do it again, I loved the way it turned out, but cannot remember how I did it. any ideas?

hi there,
sorry no one has replied
this response seems to be two years late  Huh

anyway i have done swedish knot. it is just a type of knot you can create for texture. there is also ghiordes knot, turkey stitch, rya stitch, soumak, etc.!  Smiley
a good book is an old one called Weaving is Fun by Jean Wilson
let me know via Private Message if you have any more questions too
i also have some samples of stitches i did online

thanks so much for the response, I will check the book out! I just remember how intricate the weaving was and how beautiful it turned out. I'm a full time student again in an accelerated program, so I haven't had time to do much, but when I graduate and have money to buy materials...watch out!  Wink
