Thanks everyone for your comments.
I've decided not to make the "Loll" cardigan with summer tweed. After reading gloriana's comments about having to frog it several time to get the darts right, I was a little nervous. Summer Tweed does not frog well!
I did do a pattern swatch and it did not look quite as neat as in photos. I also did a couple rows of the sleeve and the tweed texture did look very nice.
I think I will take Spider's advice and save it for something with less detail.

After nearly 8 months of procrastination, I've finally finished Loll:

I'm quite happy with how it turned out - although my fringes are much more unruly than the ones in the photo.  For notes on the pattern, please visit my blog (link is below).
