Hiya Felters-
I have the annual situation of wondering what it is I can make for the ol'man for Xmas-AGAIN!! lol.  Tongue sigh...I guess some things never change... Grin
I wanted to see if you all could help me come up with felty, Man-related projects, ideas and items for all the special men on our wish lists that deserve to be warm and fuzzy too.  Wink

Here's my list so far:
-Manly cuffs, big n' chunky.

-Pocketed notebooks/organizers. I made one for the DH last year, and he still uses it- Good for that unorganized guy! Cheesy

-Warm hat! I wish my skills and studio were advanced enough to make him a big cowboy style hat..lol.

-Mittens for scraping the car. (used sweaters are great for this too)

-Socks! I want to make sock/slippers. without the ultra bulk that most Felting tutes provide...any suggestions??

-Scarves- with many type colours. Wink lol.

Hmmmm.... I cant stop thinking of warm winter wear I guess,  Roll Eyes
I am hoping you can all help come up with some super unique and new ideas here. Thanks so much everyone! Smiley

i like the felted tie idea, although i know joe isn't a tie kinda guy (neither is my hubby as you know, lol). how about felting him a big steak and potato dinner, teehee! Wink depends on how practical you want to be my dear. i'm all about nonsense so my ideas probably arent the best. expand on your slippers idea, what do you mean without the bulk? i think you should make him a beret seeing as he's french Cheesy i even have instructions i can give you if you're interested. easy peasy.

Cell phone or mp3 player cozy?

I actually had a request from my man to make him a game-boy cozy, because his kept getting scratched.
So yeah, felt pockets are great for those random pieces of technology that guys carry around
-MP3 players
-blackberries
-game boys
-mobile phones
or anything else delicate that your man uses

thanks for all the great suggestions. I think everything is good.  Smiley
itscribe- slippers is def a good idea, and teamwang - I was thinking of slippers - but not big floppy ones, but something more like a felted sock. ? anyone have any ideas there? I could use a sock-shaped resist or something i guess? hmm.
lol. the felted meat dinner is hilarious. but i think my man would be bummed he couldn't actually eat it. lol. he's a carnivore.  Wink it would be like torture to him.
now if i could make a pouch to hold his gadgets..(he carries the extra hard drive storage to our computer- everywhere!  Cheesy hello- geek express?!  Grin ) that's shaped like a steak, well then i think we would be set!  Cheesy

we're kind of a tech-free family. no cells, no blackberries, and one recently puchased mp3 player for me. hahaha.
But he is into cameras.
earmuffs or a hat is another great suggestion, including the beret!! haha teamwang- you really do think he's super-french-man dontcha? heeheehee, sure, a beret.. earmuffs is intrguing too...perfect-since its snowing today.  Grin
thanks everyone so much for your help. please post more ideas, and it might help other felters who have a need for 'man felt' too. lol.
