The most recent of my custom collar/leash sets. I give out free ShrinkyDink tags as little surprises to my customers, too, but sadly this one got broken in the mail--I'll have to made another one.

Little pup's name is Mary McDuff, which I think is adorable. More to come soon. :3

This is awesome!  Would love to get some for my dog, he loves his bling.  Any more of your work to show us?  Where do you do your sales (etsy, etc)?

Yep--I do my stuff through Etsy. Let me get some photos of my others if I can, I've made quite a few of these. (And it's calliel.etsy.com, btw!)

That's so cute!!  What materials did you use?  do you buy plain leashes and collars and embellish them or do you start from scratch?  I'm going to be getting a dog soon, so I was curious..  Once again, you did a wonderful job..  and the shrinky-dink name tags are so cute!

Sorry to take so long to reply! To answer your question, I start from scratch. I buy nylon webbing (5/8" for little dogs, 1" for big ones) from StrapWorks.com for the base. The buckles, leash snap and strap adjuster all come from StrapWorks too--it's my secret weapon. Then I stick grosgrain ribbon to the webbing with double-stick tape to hold it in place, and sew along both edges of the ribbon. And then I just put it into collar and leash form. Smiley

Hope that helps! I can be more detailed if you like.
