I had to get a new trash can for the kitchen and since I have a cherry theme, decided to embellish ithttp://www.smartgroups.com/picvault/18976826.JPG/DSCF0031.JPG  I am also a recycle nut, so added a little reminder for the kids and hubby.  Smiley It says, Wait! Can you recycle that?

That's really sweet!  Love the details--you didn't miss a thing!  Great job!
Did you use acrylics?  How do you keep the paint from chipping from frequent use?

Thanx! I used Perm Enamel paint, meant for tile, glass etc. It really holds up well.

Ok, I definately need one of those for my future (cherry-covered) kitchen!!!  Gotta try it, but with pale blue instead of green trim.

Sweet.  We have a Tiki themed kitchen, so I could paint on bamboo or a leopard print!

I love the cherries. My mom has to decorate everything that is plain with paint, so our trash can has flowers and butterflies on it, But I love yours!

haha, i love it! Those trashcans with the pedals rule. The reminder is great, i always think that too myself, except half the time the item is already in the trash. Cheesy
