I like it.  The pattern used is a vintage McCall's pattern.  Smiley It's made from vintage (1960's era) corduroy and my own little tree design.  Machine sewn seams and hand-blanket stitched handle and applique by yours truly!

They say they climb mountains because they are there.  I wonder if it would astound them to know that the very same reason is why the rest of us go around them.

I covet this bag. *swoons*  It's a perfect combo of form and function, and I just love the pattern on your vintage cord.  Love it, love it, love it!

Where did you find the fabric?

Hey there everyone!  Back to life after the holiday!

Thanks for the compliments!  This bag is really roomy...and would hold three large (100 gm) skeins of yarn with room to spare.

I got the fabric from a resale shop a few towns over from me when I was visiting my mom.  It was donated in the same lot of vintage stuff from a lady's estate...so I know based on the other items (and the smell) that it is at least from the 60's, if not 40-50's era.  (Though the pattern places it more in the 60'-early 70's.)

It is sturdy, as I used heavy weight interfacing in the construction of it.

I haven't taken it 'out on the town' yet, because I wanted to see if it would sell first.  If it doesn't, I have myself a new knitting bag!   Cheesy

Thanks again!
