Hey guys, just to let you know, I've started my own wedding thread over here:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=231885.0

So anyone who wants to see my other wedding decorations and ideas can go here! Also if it's alright with Kayla I might add a tutorial on painting to this thread later.

Thank you so much for posting this tutorial!  I've had so much fun with it. Smiley  Inspired by Raine_Dementia I've decided to color them with easter egg dye and use them in my wedding this coming June (I know I'm such a copycat...but they're so fun!  I need an excuse to make 8 zillion of them, hehe).

Here are some of mine.

Eeeheehee, I don't mind copycats. I was just copying someone else, anyhow. Lovely colors you have there, I'm actually making a few blue roses for my Aunt, well, Aunt-in-law. She's doing an award or something and she asked me for a bunch, I'm enjoying the excuse to play with new colors.

You'll have to post some photos from your wedding when your done with the roses, though! I've got a million left yet to make, and I haven't even finished putting together all my wedding favors yet either. So many little scrolls to tie.. oo;

Good luck, and I hope to see more pics from you later!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the colors. Smiley  My wedding colors are (dark) blue and silver (while my favorite colors for roses are purple and red), so it's been a bit of a challenge trying to decide on what I want.
I'll definitely be making a wedding thread when I get more wedding-type crafts done (there's a necklace of mine floating around on another board) complete with loooots of roses.  I'm considering using the cut off tip to make roses for my hair, but I haven't decided if I'm that nuts adventurous yet.

Does anybody else get a really tense thumb muscle when you're wrapping the wire around the petals?  I don't know if I'm doing something the hard way, or if it's due to an old tendon injury of mine, or if its just that hard, or what.  Hehe.

For me it's not the sore thumbs that's the issue, it's the neck cramp from leaning down over the rose, the frustration as the last few petals are usually the hardest to get on aside from the very first petal, and of course stabbing myself repeatedly with the wire... >>..

I have dug out some coffee filters that are unbleached so they are brown anyway, but I have decided to just faff around and dye them with coffee anyway and see what result I get. So there are some drying at the mo.

These really are so so pretty and Im hoping mine look as lovely as yours xx
