That is an absolutely fantastic idea!  Granted this is totally going to distract me from the things I should be doing but bravo!

I am interested in personal supply swaps.  I have tons of fabric and scrapbooking supplies. I am interested in sewing notions and trim, especially any heirloom sewing supplies.  If anyone wants to trade a smocker/pleater for fabric or scrapbook stuff, I'm in! I'll also trade for things on my wist.

Insanely cute! Whoa! I'm going to make some tonight and post them. My teen daughter has the opportunity to put some fabric art in one of the downtown Pomona galleries for this weekend, and she needed something smallish to sell! We've got lots of ties, and these things look like they whip up quick and she could sell them for a couple of bucks. (We've found that when folks go to gallery openings, art fairs or whatever, if they can't afford the big stuff, they'd like to pick up at least a small souvenir.)  Thanks for the inspiration!!

This is seriously cute. I have a lot of ties left over that I didn't use for my tie skirt - I was saving them up to do another skirt, but this is a much better idea. Instant gratification craftiness!

I love those!  What a great idea and a way to use up old ties.  Very creative.
