I'm so disappointed.  I made a trip back to the $.95 cent store to buy a crazy tie with the world's ugliest pinup and do this with it.  But the tie was such junk that it couldn't be done.  I had such high hopes!
I'll find myself a real tie and try again.

...I'm not, in fact, certified. *grin*

Bigmouth - that's such a bummer!!  Some ties, even the good ones, are only loosely stitched together up the back, so you have to flip it inside out and do a line of stitching up the middle to reinforce.  Other than that though, it oughta be pretty simple.  Any tie that won't take this tiny amount of abuse ain't worth ninety-five cents *grin*

That's what I thought, too.  It was tacked every inch or so to nasty, stiff canvas.  It was completely hopeless.  But that's how I realized I could stretch the cheap silk around in such a way to make the ugly pinup look pregnant.  Once I figure out the right craft for her, I'll have my $.95 worth again!

I just have to repeat everyone else by remarking how extremely genius this is!  This should be a featured item for sure.  Thanks for the idea!
