One feature we plan on having on this board is a "spotlighted atc" that we feel deserves some special recognition. Our first spotlighted atc was done by none other than OriginalYouth, and the card(s) we chose to spotlight are from her takeout series:

These two beautiful cards combine collage of actual Chinese takeout menus and fortune cookies, painting, stamping, and drawing. I'm proud to say that the one on the left is in my personal collection.  Smiley

From Original Youth:
These are on a base of cardstock, with chopstick wrappers, fortune cookie wrappers, applied.  The red geometric image (on both cards) is red ink from a stamp I carved myself, applied on white paper.  The rest of the stamping (Ying Yangs, squares) is with a gold pigment ink.

Beautiful work, OriginalYouth! We will be looking forward to seeing many more of your atc's here on everybody's favorite new board!

Here's your banner:

(Thanks jMi for making the banner!!!!!  Kiss  )

How sweet!  I am so excited!
Yup, these are on a base of cardstock, with chopstick wrappers, fortune cookie wrappers, applied.  The red geometric image (on both cards) is red ink from a stamp I carved myself, applied on white paper.  The rest of the stamping (Ying Yangs, squares) is with a gold pigment ink.

P.S.  I had a bento box that day, with sushi and some lovely miso soup.  A great lunch!  (It wasn't take-out though...shhh....) Smiley

I might in the future, but never just like those 2!  It's ART baby, it's all unique!  And I'm not doing any more swapping before Christmas, so I can get some actual gifts made!

When I grow up I want to be as artistic as OY.

Butt at age 49, it's not looking likely, lol.

That's the sweetest thing anyone has said to me for a long time. Made me tear up a bit, actually.
Thank you SO much!

I've said for quite some time, that when I grow up I want to be an artist...but, though I turn 30 in less than 30 days, the growing up part is not coming soon, I'm afraid.

Thanks again for such a glorious compliment!
