I made these two nature necklaces for Bobolink and Jane Doe recently. They were fun to make, and really different from anything else I've made. I was inspired by something I saw in Jane Doe's wists.

Beautiful! I love how ... natural it looks. The colors fit so well too. The wing earrings are cute too!

Wow, I'm so surprised and flattered to see this thread come back! To answer your questions, I was inspired by this piece: http://njadean.livejournal.com/18796.html from Jane Doe's wist, I had her as a swap partner wen I made this and I really liked the original piece and was inspired to try it.
I don't sell anything, really, but I'd be happy to tell you what I remember of how I made it!

I got several different novelty yarns that looked "mossy", plus some lion suede chenille in dark brown. I formed the basic shape out of wire and then wrapped it with lots of the chenille to make the base, and formed a hook shape and a knot to close it. Then I wrapped the various mossy looking yarns around wires and looped those around the base, bending them to create shape. Last I wrapped some plain wire around and randomly strung beads, shells, tiiny bells and findings with the large stone as an off-center focal point. I bent the wire to place the bits and add texture. That's about it, I think. It wasn't hard but it was really, really fun and a little time consuming, wrapping all that yarn. Give it a try!

And thanks for the nice comments! I love being "discovered" in an older thread!  Smiley
