I had the intention of knitting a nice blanket for a pregnant friend, but I could not for the life of me find the time to do it! So I looked around for a quicker yet useful project and I came across these instructions for baby bibs. The pattern calls for garter stitch, but I did the first one in seed stitch and the second one in stocinette with a garter stitch border to prevent curling. I also spruced it up a little with a contrasting colored button.

Hooray! These are so quick and easy to make! I can't wait to give them to her tomorrow!

And thanks for the suggestions regarding my search for labels. I decided to get a stamp made and use it on ribbon. Here is a not so good picture:

Nice bibs. I always get too ambitious and end by doing all nighters to finish a project in time for the shower. I bet she could use those as wash cloths as well.

Great bibs! I love the pink and they look easy to make as well. Not as intense as knitting a baby sweater--phew!

And thanks for including the great link about labels. I love the original one you created yourself, but I think I'm going to buy some of those retro ones for me. I wish I had a cool brand like that!

mommalion082- After much searching I went with this website:
http://rubbertrouble.com/dyocframes.html

I liked that I could preview the stamp before I placed my order and they didn't have ridiculous requirements for the graphic. I paid about $16 altogether for everything. I'm very pleased with their services, I'll definately go to them again if I need another stamp.

Really cute bibs!  I usually knit baby hats, but I am getting a little tired of those.  Also, I live in Florida, so most of my friends can't use the hats that long anyway.  I once saw a pattern for a rounded shape bib, I think FC Easy Knitting.

About your label ... what kind of ink did you stamp on the ribbon?
