Magic Yarn Ball Round 2

I got my ball from dexterchickk today. I haven't decided whether to unravel or to knit out yet. I'll post pics later. The wool is the loveliest colour and I got a beautiful pair of needles too.

I got my yarn ball from princess today!!! It is the most beautiful blue cotton, and it is for the Odessa pattern from magknits. It will match perfectly with my new winter coat. I got a ton of other goodies in the box too, and I haven't even started knitting out my surprises yet!
She sent me:
-some cute scrapbook buttons
-a stamp that says "Dream"
-a pair of knitting needles with snowmen at the top (!)
-a note book shaped like a girls profile
-two Disney princess pencils (perfect for exams next week)
-some gorgeous knitting note cards (trust me you are jealous)
-a pink knitted swatch that says "Born to Knit" which is coincidently the perfect size for my swatch quilt i am slowly working on, I have some motivation to sew together the squares i have done now!!!!
-there was also this pretty bell with a snowflake on it, and some ribbon around the ball


Thank you so much princess*of*capri!!! Please post pictures so everyone can see. Hopefully by the time I knit everything else out I will have a camera to post the rest of the pictures!!!

Ok, ok. I caved. Me, the one who was adment about knitting it out, not unwinding it. I was looking at the pattern and realiezed I needed some circs I don't have, but am getting for Christmas (grandma and grandpa are getting me the knitpicks interchangables.) And I decided I couldn't wait until after Christmas to get whats inside the ball. I thought got some great stuff outside the ball, but whats there's more:
-a big pink paperclip
-two stitch/cable holders
-a sweet covered tape measure!!
-a beautiful necklace that looks like a robin's nest, I put it on immediatly
-pink buttons!!
-pink ribbon that looks like a tape measure
-pink beads
-pink bead stitch markers (do you think i like pink :-D )
-blue drop earrings
-some sweet knitting themed beads
-Cinderella post-its !
-a ornament that looks like a ball of yarn (already on the tree!)
-some more pretty ribbon
-and probably my absolute favorite, snowflake stitch markers, they are absolutely gorgeous!!!!

I didn't mention before she sent a pretty christmas hanging that says Joyeux Noel and has a pretty flapper girl holding a tree and her presents on it. Its now on my wall.

Oh I am so glad you liked everything Madeliene09!!! It was so much fun putting everything together for you. Reading your list of things I realized just how much pink stuff I sent. You did say in your questionnaire that you like pink! And I am so glad that you caved and unwound it! Oh and the Born to Knit square is actually a wash cloth but that is so funny that it will work for your swatch quilt. I took pictures for you so I ll go ahead and  post them now.

My daughter tells me that there is a rather sizeable box waiting at home for me, from the UK - me thinks it's my magic yarn ball..... back later with pictures

Ok, so I'm weak..... and impatient..... and things were falling out of the ball.... so I just HAD to unwrap it!!  
here's the list of what came today..... followed by pictures:

a big ball of yummy red yarn, plus a Hazel-design for a scarf that sounds like it's just my style!
2 mini-stockings
card-wallet - purple with a black and white batic lining
4 black licorice sticks - italian, I think
an amethyst looking ring
3 big blue buttons, i think they're for on the scarf
a packet of hairbeads with clips
a pirate eye patch and moustache
a kazoo
a packet of rocket balloons
a magic wriggler, which we haven't quite figured out yet
a blue stuffie
a chinese finger trap
a red bead garland
9 hello kitty candy canes which my daughter wants to take
a sky-rocket toy
a large dark chocolate bar (i LOVE dark chocolate)
a sherbet fountain candy thingy
red and green tinselly garland with stars
striped cat ... wait a minute, he was here this morning, i think he's mine!

I knit up a OSW storm at my S'n'B meeting last night.  Prizes were falling out of that ball at a rate of almost one per row.  You could say I got a few.  So that I don't hog the board COMPLETELY I have posted most of those pics on my blog.    They show in much better detail all the stuff above, worth a look for the sweet polymer clay knit themed stitch markers alone. http://missvicki.wordpress.com/2006/12/13/all-in-a-nights-work/
To top it all off, I also have pics showing off the proceeds of this mornings public transport adventures.

This mornings long bus trip gave me another fabric headband, this one in pretty Indian style satin.  All embroidered with little mirrors and everything.  I also got two more DIY earing kits and a sparkly 'V' charm.  Spoilt!! 

...aaaand because I went two stops further than I should have (I was on a roll, you understand), I then had to take a short train trip back one station to work.  Unexpectedly, it got me a few more goodies, despite being only 4 minutes long.  Behold, big plastic hand earings (they don't match and I love them for it) and another DIY earing pack.  I have been spoilt way beyond my wildest expectation for this swap.  Thanks Sharre, you are the best.

Oh yeah, and as you can see my one Skein Wonder shrug is really coming along.

I'm finally past finals & up to the fingers on the Fetchingly/Bond Street pattern I'm working on, I'll post pictures when I get it a little farther!

Sharre I absolutely must know where you got those polymer clay beads!! Did you make them?? They are fabulous.

That wool looks gorgeous knitted up, I can't wait to see your finished OSW. I did cast on for mine last night but after dropping half a row of stitches (don't ask) I decided to start again today as I was knitting way too tight anyway.

I actually got the knitting beads from BIG W, they were a brand called Blue moon (I think) let me see if I can find a packet somewhere...
