Heartfelt thanks to Jenny for the brilliance of Sublime Stitching--it's gotten me back into needlecrafts!  Here's my most recently finished tea towel:

This is my first time posting photos, so if it doesn't work, let me know!  I used mostly split stitch and running stitch, with a little bit of whipped running stitch on the orange skull.

Great job!   Jenny *is* quite the inspirationalist, isn't she?   I'm so excited about her book coming out next month!  Woo-hoo!   Grin

Great job, I'm definitely going to pick up that design, I love the skulls!

that looks grrreat! i was wondering how the skulls & flowers would look (i have the SS pattern, too) and yours look truly fabulous. really great placement and color choice.

p.s. in addition, after an in-depth assessment, i have come to the conclusion that indeed, no one said that Dia de los Muertos was halloween. although, both are the best of holidays.

Oooh! I love it! I hadn't seen that one stitched up by someone yet!! Did you use that floss that changes colors for the flowers? Yeah, and who said Day of the Dead was Halloween?

Thanks Jenny and Meowsley!  Yes, I used variegated thread on the flowers--I'm experimenting a lot with those color mixes, and with metallic floss as well!  Day of the Dead is easily the best holiday ever!  I like playing with it as a theme, and I'm designing some milagros-themed items, too.  AND some loteria stuff.  ARGH i think i might be addicted to mexico.  Wink
