while i'm not entirely new to knitting, i've never really ventured past the 'everything is just a rectangle' stage.  i recently recieved a tampon cozy in a swap and all of my friends really love it so i was thinking i would make them for christmas. the one i have is crocheted but i was wondering if any had tried knitting one and if so, how i would go about doing that.... thanks.

do you mean a singular tampon cozy, cuz whats the point? but if you mean more then one (which would make alot more sense) then you could just knit a rectangle. and sew up the sides accordingly. can you visualize that or do i have the shape for your cozy totally wrong?

I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for (it's a bit bigger than the ones others have posted; it looks like it fits at least 4 tampons), but it's very cute and elegant:

haha-yes of course....my friends went nuts for that thing at school; even the boys thought it was amazing. my friend eric wants one as a cheese stick cozy.

i actually think i figured out how to make them. i made a banana one yesterday but have since then ventured off into squid shaped cozies. tomorrow: carrot tampon cozies. pictures soon.

....

I now have the desire to design a knit and then lined menstrual cup cozy in the shape of a squid.

I blame you.

hmm, so i suppose any finger puppet pattern could be knit just a teeny bit longer to become a tampon cozy,  no?  The possibilities are endless Grin
