We have a general boyfriend gift post going... shall we start a general christmas gift list?

Just a suggestion! But I can't be the ONLY one drowning in a sea of holiday brain blockage!

Well... some general handmade Christmas gifts could be:
-handbags
-jewelry
-candles
-bath salts
-bath soaps
-baked goods
-stationary sets
-reconstructed tees/jeans/etc.
-sentamental ornaments
-knit items such as hat/scarves/mittens

That's it for now. Pretty feminine list, I know, but what can I say.

For guys, food is usually a winner. I love to put them in tins and decorate them. With my best friends, I always make plain sugar cookies and paint inside jokes and funny drawings on them. These days there are plenty of easy recipes for truffles, bark, and other slightly different things as well.

Guys and girls alike love the knitted ipod and cell phone cozies I am making this year. Very easy, and there are tons of patterns for a variety of crafts.

Good luck!

-Pajama pants: great for the girl who steals them from her b/f - or even the guy who is now pantsless!

-Themed basket/bucket/box based around an inside joke or personal interest/need. (I'm making a "me-time" kit for a friend who gets stressed out easily and just had her first baby yesterday)

-I'm also a fan of the stenciled shirt, and I'm doing a Napoleon Dynamite purse this year where the stenciled face is sparkly silver.

-Etched glassware/mirrors/etc: I'm etching a set of 4 rocks glasses with different designs that have matching shot glasses for my whiskey buddy.
(Glassware can be found CHEAP and the etching cream went a long way when I used it last, and still have half a little bottle. Very economical and looks WAY cool.) This one's my fave.

-Movie-watching cuddle-on-the-couch blankets are always handy AND used often. Also supereasy to make, depending on what kind you do.

-Guitar straps for that bass or guitar player in your life. If you use an unfinished belt blank, you customize it any way. My BF did his in 2 rows of inch-long screw-on spikes. It's wicked, AND it's a weapon! (He's silly, he has it on his Guitar Hero guitar =)

-A handmade book of something that will appeal to the person. For example, I'm doing a pirate joke book (for pirate in a box), an unusual cocktail recipe book for an ice bucket and glassware set etc.

-Not really a gift idea, but for things that can't be wrapped easily, make a treasure map/first clue and put it in a card...then make it lead to the next map/clue etc.
