I need a bit of help. I did a search but nothing looked relevant to what I need to know. I am making a home made from scratch pumpkin pie. The recipe I have is calling for ginger. I have cloves, nutmeg, and this thing called "pumpkin pie spice". Do you think I can sub out this ginger for the pumpkin pie spice and still be ok? This is my first time ever making a pumpkin pie with anything other than the canned premix stuff. Help me please I want this Thanksgiving to be PERFECT Grin Thanks

All pumpkin pie spice is is a blend of things like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice and/or ginger (the precise ingredients and blend depends on the brand.

So, say the recipe reads as follows (I'm completely making this up):
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ginger

All you'd have to do is replace all of that with an equivalent amount of pumpkin pie spice.  In this case, it would now read:
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice.
