If any of you haven't yet seen the plushie tampons at mypapercrane.com you should check them out. I think they're supercute but my Always pads were feeling a little left out. So here's my pad toy, Mr. PadPad. He's soft and friendly, but he's no ultrathin.

the tampons and pad plushies remind me of visual teaching aids for children.
god, that would be a uncomfortable class to teach. even with the plushies doing the talking.

maybe government propaganda film about "you and your body"

my brain works funny.

I have a bunch of vintage linens for trade. Looking for neat halloween fabrics, day of the dead stuff, star wars stuff.

I like to think of him as a sensitive guy. One who is willing to really cuddle up with you and even help clean up after you.

A pervert is a good explanation too.

I think it would be great if they used happy plushies to teach about periods in sex ed! Maybe that would get rid of some of the embarrassment about our periods that we seem to be taught in school. We can all think about that time of the month as a happy singing time, not a shameful, dirty time!

this seems like the kind of plushie my friend Rodney would make. he and his sisters took a pad and stuck it to the wall of their family's livingroom and stuck a sign over it that read: "Welcome to Our Pad." I don't think their mom noticed it for over a week. Grin

that's a really good idea. if you  somehow marketed a little 'happy period' type kit - i bet it would do well. if i was a mother explaining it to my daughter that would be really cool to have. it would make it seem like a happy thing rather than a horrible, ooky thing.

I am thinking about making this and some cloth pads and wrapping in up in a bucket that could also be used for washing and giving it to my kid sister - who should turn out to be slightly eco-friendly!
Great idea! It's so cute!

Adorable!  I've made felt tampons for friends in the past, but never even thought to make a pad-plushie!

Great job!
