A friend of mine at work saw me cross stitching and complaining about a knitting project at the same time. Assuming I was crafty, he said, "If I paid you, would you make me a sock puppet? I want something to really scare my friend's kid" Little did he know I was pining over puppets and monkeys, and I leapt on the opportunity. A little too quickly, in fact. I told him, "Oh, please don't pay me! I'll be happy to make one!" To be fair, it was his birthday that day. The end result was this:

It doesn't beep, it goes, "Hai!"

nice. i think he might be just a little too cute to scare anybody though - even a kid  Wink

did you use a sock or regular fabric? i make sock monkeys and i've been pining about making a sock monkey puppet.

i do small craft projects at work sometimes and every now and then people will offer to pay me to make something. like you, i usually jump in to quick with a "oh, i'd love to make it for you - you don't have to pay me". usually because it's been something i've been thinking of making or because the challenge of it will help me with a new technique or something like that...
