This is my first post here, but I've gotten tons of great ideas from lurking around and seeing everyone elses creations.

My sis loves Tom Cruise, so when I received a rolling stone issue with him on the cover in the mail I knew that it would be my first magazine purse. It has a leopard print fabric inside and I trimmed it with leopard ribbon too!

If the outside gets wet, it shouldn't be a problem, it's all iron on vinyl except the ribbon Grin  The inside is regular fabric, so that part isn't waterproof.

I bet your sister loves it! How did you like using the iron on vinyl?
I have never used it or even seen it before joining craftsters. Was it a pain or easy to do? I love your choice of pattern and the matching ribbon is really neat!

I didn't use a pattern, just kind of winged it. I basically just decided the size I wanted to make the covers and how deep it would be.
The front and back measure 10"H x10"L
sides each measure 10"H x 3"L
bottom measures 3"H x 10"L
Hope this helps. It's been awhile since I made it, so I'm going from memory. I can come up with a quick tutorial if you'd like, just let me know.

And junquette, my sis loved the purse! Iron-on vinyl was pretty easy to use, not as hard as I thought it would be. Sewing the corners does take a little patience, but if you fold the rest of the purse flat, so it's out of your way when you get to each corner, it's not so bad.

*sigh* I almost wish I hadn't seen this...  I have a Rolling Stone magazine from my Backstreet Boys days.  They are on the cover with their pants around their ankles...  Yes now I have to... And I'll bring it to the next concert I go to  Grin !
Thank you, in my own pathetic way...
