hey guys!
I posted about this on the Etsy forums too (and was terrified I'd get flamed somehow . . .it can be mean there!) . . . .but I'd love to get a craftster's opinion on this!

Up until very recently I've always left the natural patina on my coins. Just the other day though, I started playing around with polishing and I like that look too!

For example, this coin was polished:

Which do you like better? Should I move more into polished coins or keep a variety of both?

Hollylynne I like the old feel to the coins that are unpolished but I like more that you can read and see what's on the coins that have been polished. I think u bring their beauty out more by polishing them.


I have been adding more to my etsy lately and I have been getting more views and more hearts which is awesome but no new sales....any suggestions?

thanks for the input, luxielou Smiley  I love your pendants . . . the photos are great too.  The only suggestion I'd make is to relist a little (if you aren't already).  I try to list 2 items each weekday and relist 2-4 items a day on top of that.  it really helps keep the momentum going!

hollylynne, I have to agree with luxielou.  I like them both.... why not offer both?  I also think it would depend on the feel of the necklace it was on, and what I was looking for.  Dressier -- probably polished; more casual -- patina.  (Just my 2 cents.)

AND I agree with hollylynne -- it does help to relist at least one item a day.  I try to relist one of each kind of item a day, and I used to list a new something-or-other every day... but haven't been able to get to that lately.  I love that shark pendant, luxielou!

Hollylynne, I like the polished ones better. They still look sort of old, but you can see more detail.

I personally like the polished coin better, but I know plenty of people that would like the unpolished one better.  Both are beautiful and I think you should have both in your shop to offer people that variety!  Smiley
