How's your Etsy shop doing now?

Well Kish got me back here, I get so tied up listing and doing my Etsy thing I don't get around to sites much which I should because I enjoy reading about others experiences.

My store was opened on Etsy at the end of 2007 and it has just got better and better. I love the Etsy environment and the encouragement and camaraderie that Etsyians show to each other. I know many get discouraged when sales are down and we all have been there but it is worth the wait and when the sales come you feel good knowing you made it yourself and someone loves it enough to pay for it.

I have over 1100 hearts now and good feedback so all in all I have had a very good run with Etsy and I hope it continues. It would be great if copying could be stopped and abusers of copyright at least got kicked off... Unfortunately that is not likely to happen so try and take it as a compliment that she must of really loved your stuff and she chose you to copy.  I know it isnt that simple but I hope it made u smile for a minute.

Pretty new to Etsy, made an account a while back and mainly am using that for buying, whereas my shop Quarter/6 has made it's first sale on Friday. :]

I sent the package out today and it makes you feel really accomplished and proud. I'm hoping sales will start to pick up more once I get more items added.

Thank you. :] I'm hoping to do a few more over the coming weeks although I really should get on with Uni work. Oh how crafting takes over ones life. Haha.

hollyg9211, mine has slowed down this past month.... a lot!  I definitely have pay-day peaks.  Anyone else??  (I'm using my slow time to make samples for the Spotted Box, do swaps, and develop some new patterns.  That's a positive, right? )

Haven't been on here for a while. How is everyone?
Very slow in my shop, maybe opening a new one in the summmer wasn't a great idea?  I have some new stuff to list in there later (photos permitting) so at least I won't have (unlucky for some) 13 items any more lol!

Thanks everybody for your well wishes and your prayers!

My health took a nasty turn for the worst (diabetic shock as a result of a combination of severe chronic pain syndrom, instable diabetes, lots of illnesses in a row and some major stress factors) and I was rushed to hospital by ambulance on July 29 for what became a two weeks emergency stay.
I am still recovering and very weak (and had a root canal treatment on top of things...), but I just reopened my Etsy shop an hour ago and am looking forward to the distractioin it will bring.

Two good things came forth from my stay in hospital:
1. We found out I do not need insuline for my diabetes, even though I have been using large amounts for 2.5 years. No wonder my bloodsugar levels kept bouncing up and down and I literary had hundreds unneccessary hypo's (which obviously decreased my strength and increased my pain).
For the last three weeks I have been using pills only and my bloodsugar levels are perfectly fine. Yay!
2. I will be examined and treated (once they have time for me and once I am back up to strength) in a local pain clinic that specializes in fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrom, etc. After 5 years of indurable pains the thought that those pains will finally be taken serious and perhaps even partly relieved, gives me good hope for the future.

I'm looking forward to having more energy and communicating with my crafty friends again on a daily base.
Now I'm off to take some more rest.
