Hollyg, your paintings are lovely!  Tea for Three is so neat, and my favorite is the one with black birds.  I agree with BeaG -- I think prints (even notecards) would do well on etsy.

Neat blog, mommys little badass!

Hi everyone, I haven't checked in for a while so have lots to read.  I'm sure you've all been having lots of successes though, so congratulations to those celebrating sales, hearts etc.

I think my etsy shop is going to be taking a back seat for a while as not only do I start my final year uni project soon, I got engaged last week so I have a wedding to plan!

Ooh congratulations!

January has been my best month, I sold 9 items! Grin I have an event on Tuesday so hopefully things will go well then too. I think sometimes people prefer to buy cards and artwork 'in-person'.

Thanks Phizzy, sounds like you're having a good year so far!  How is life in sunny Spain?

Ummm, I'm actually posting here because I don't know the answer to this question. I have been open two weeks and have made two sales......is that good? I only have 12 items in the shop, so obviously the more I have the more sales I am likely to make, but...oh I don't know. When people say "how's your online shop doing?" I say, yeah great, I've made two sales", and they look at me with pity!! So now I'm not so sure how it's going. Any input from other Etsians would be really appreciated  Undecided

Thank-you!

I'd say 2 sales in 2 weeks when you've just opened is great!
Heck, I've been etsy-ing since the end of May 2007 and I'd be happy to get a sale a week reliably.

I think "other people" who don't understand starting out in e-commerce expect you to open shop and BAM... you're suddenly amazon.com
It just doesn't work like that, but "they" don't understand why.
