Thanks all... if I recall correctly from working retail the time between after-halloween and thanksgiving is just gearing up for the main rush.
Benookie, your sales should pick up even more!

I love the promo packs - I feel it's a nice bonus for shopping with me and the coupons are great for tracking.  I hope we're generating sales for everyone... Can't wait for the next swap!  Wink

Smiley  Hello to some faces I recognize, and new ones too

Having moved preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'straaaaaaaaaaiiiiight') across the continent, struggled to find a new apartment with the boy, and working a new part-time job, my etsy stuff (and posting at Craftster!) have sat on the backburner a bit.   I'm trying to keep up both at least a little, cuz they keep me sane.  ish.

I actually opened a new etsy shop to disperse vintage fabrics and craft stuff into the universe where it'll be more loved, and that's slowly gaining some interest - I'm trying to include a mixture of really great/rare stuff that's a little pricier, and some bargains too.  I think I'll just be using the profits from that store to buy stuff from other people.  That seems fair, don't you think???   Wink

Anyhow, I'm off to explore some of the shops I don't recognize in this thread; just wanted to say hello again.  Hello!  Again!

Tiph, glad to see you again and to hear you settled down in your new place and found a new parttime job.
I will move from the Netherlands to Belgium exactly one week from now, so I sort of know what you went through.
Congrats on opening your second Etsy shop. Good luck for both your shops!

Bah. My shop's been flatlining for the past few months. I'm hoping the sale I have going right now will get me more sales and hearts. I wish I could afford to buy some print ads, but I don't have the cash reserves for that.

Hi Tiph!  Glad your move went good.  This thread isn't nearly as chatty as it used to be.  People must be busy getting ready for the holiday season.

I just spent the day editing, rearanging and listing items in my shop.  I have a new price point on my items and I now have free shipping on everyting to anywhere in the US and Canada.

Don't get down on your shop Stattica.  Given time it will pick up.  You don't have to purchase print ads.  I find my best advertisement is getting your name out on the web.

Help please:

I had a first time buyer purchase a lamp from me last Tuesday (this was someone who picked up my biz card at the show a couple weeks ago, in MI). I convo'd her on Friday and sent an email about having it packaged and ready, but was waiting until I received payment to ship, and any questions she had about Etsy's checkout and PayPal to ask me.
It has been a week. I sent another convo and email about having 24 hours to submit payment if she is still interested or I will relist the lamp on Wednesday.

Is this reasonable? I haven't dealt with this before.
Much thanks ladies  Smiley
