Its sad that non-payers are becoming more frequent...is this because Etsy is getting bigger or attracting the wrong crowd? I suppose this is a problem with every e-commerce site in one way or another.

I had someone leave feedback today for an item she purchased last year! But I guess better late than never, right? Smiley

In an attempt to get more readers to my blog and to my store, I created a paper owl toy called Hoots, which you print out and fold together. There's a writeup in my blog if you are interested! He takes about 10 minutes to cut out and glue together. I submitted my article to CRAFT's blog...here's hoping they post it!
Last time, CRAFT used my necklace writeup, I had like 800 views on my blog... Since I posted the owl article last night I have got over 200 views. Here's hoping for a generated sale  Tongue

Kattghotti, I would wait a few days. Not everybody checks their computer and their e-mail every day.

Congrats tomated - you worked hard and look where it got you!

As for my store, I've sold a few things in the last couple of weeks, yay! I've just listed some necklaces that are of a style different to what I previously list on etsy, they've had good feedback and a heart but unfortunately, i think the shipping will put people off - anything that's not super thin is $8.75 to send overseas!! I've got some slightly thinner ones to list, hopefully they'll be thin enough with bubblewrap to fit in the $3.85 category.

woohoo! I sold my first item tonight... I had a snarl with the payment though, completely on my end due to a a typo in my e-mail address on etsy that linked to my paypal account. Luckily I was able to convo the seller, and she was so wonderful about resolving it. I am sending her a little extra something to make up for it!

It is a little funny now, I was all ecited to see I got a sale, then my face fell when I realized what happened with my e-mail and paypal! Now that it's resolved I feel okay again... a little anxious though too! I hope the buyer likes the item.

This makes me wonder, did anyone else ever worry about what the buyer would think of their product?? I know I do my best with craft and everything, but part of me can't help but worry buyers will somehow think the quality is horrible or something!

Congrats on your first sale!
And yes, I worry too.

OK, some of you have seen the news on the etsy blog
and i thank you for all your kind words  Smiley

but i just have to share the complete story anyway  Grin

I am happy to tell you that my button earrings

have been chosen in the first group of jewelry selections for 1000 Jewelry Designs (working title), a book by Sandra Salamony and published by Rockport Publishers / Quarry Books.
This first batch is to make the "dummy," the 16 page printed piece that is used as a sales tool for the book!
The jewelry will also be featured in the book, with a link to my etsy shop!
Its also possible that other pieces of my jewelry will make the final cut!
It's going to be a really beautiful book, I'm excited by how it's shaping up.
I will retain the rights to my pieces, of course, and be publicised widely, linking credits and all!
I'm sooo pumped about this!
Thanks for letting me share!
