How's your Etsy shop doing now?

Thanks to those who commented about my neutral feedback....I think I'm finally over it. I've decided to send her a little something to clear my conscience.

how long does one wait for a payment? im only doing paypal now and its been a few days.  do i contact the buyer this is all so new to me.

Rhino, most of the time first time buyers that don't pay do so by accident. They think they have paid once they choose PayPal as their payment option.
The best thing you can do is send them a friendly reminder. They will probably pay after that.
This is what I write:
"Your order from William's Giftshop at BeaG.etsy.com.
Thank you for your order!
I did not receive your payment yet. I know the Etsy checkout can be a little confusing.
You can still pay me by using the direct PayPal link in your Etsy confirmation e-mail, or by logging into Etsy, go to 'your Etsy', 'purchases', 'receipt', and use the direct PayPal link over there.
If I receive your payment today, I will be able to send out your package tomorrow.

My experience is that they pay within 24 hours of receiving this e-mail.
If not, you can send them a PayPal invoice.

sarasvati and BeaG, congrats on those ginormous numbers!

Rhino: I usually wait 2-3 days if I didn't receive payment right away...they could be waiting for funds to transfer, their internet got cut off, etc.
On the 3rd day, I send them a convo that says, "Hi (buyers first name), Just wanted to let you know that your (item) is packed and I will ship it out as soon as I receive payment. If you have any questions about the checkout process, please ask me. Thanks again!"
