I come across a one skein stirling cloche hat pattern on http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=74644.0 about two week ago, I really like the way it fit. I been reading all the post there to find out how much yarn do I need and the pattern stated 300 yarn. So I brought 9 balls of yarn but end up I only use 2 balls.. obviously I miss read some important note, ..yes they use double strands where else I use only single strands on heavy worsted yarn. I have altered the pattern a little on the brim just to make it a bit thicker so it does roll up.

wow, that looks so good. I like the red ribbon and little buckle or whatever it is. It adds a nice touch.

That is really awesome, I think that hat would look great on me to. To bad I don't have the money right now to by yarn.

What yarn did you use for this? 300 yards makes sense to me, considering the yarn she used, the skeins are 500 yards, and she uses most of one skein, doubled.

Anyway, supercute hat! I love it! I'll have to make one for myself.
