My mom crocheted around them to make bracelets, and coasters. About 10 years ago, I looped fabric around them (so the edges stuck out), to make Christmas ornaments, and they still look great!

How would you make a hammock? How do you connect them so it wont fall apart if you sit on it?

Welcome to Victoria!  I think it is Wollaston (not sure of the spelling) in Esquimalt.  Closer to Christmas the local paper puts out a map to tour to all the best decorations.  There's some really good ones so try and keep an eye out for it.

We used to cut them into circles, crochet around them and join them into a crocheted trivet.  My mom and mil still have the ones I made.
