I was going through some old pics today and found this bird I painted a while back.

I really like it! I love when really detailed, realistic pictures are put on a completely different, unrelated background. Wait... now that I look more, maybe the blue & white is supposed to be like a cage in the background? In any case, it looks cool with the less-detailed background, and your bird is really well-painted!

Favorite moment of the year?  That commercial when m8888888 dropped her towel and jumped naked into the arms of Tony Danza.

Thank you for the nice comments.  Smiley
The background isn't a cage. I was going for 70's style wallpaper with the background, except I found that orange wouldn't look so good with my bird. Like you, I really like the realistic object/simple non-related background combo.

I love it!   Looks like you did a wonderful job on the wing coloration.

Thanks... they are really detailed, it looks better in person, of course!  Wink
It was a long and tedious job, but it was worth it.

That's really nice! I love the juxtaposition of the detailed, rich-looking bird and the minimal background (and I adore birds!). Nice job!
