Here is a recent project...MOBY DICK.  I didn't want to satin stitch the whole whale white, so he isn't really the great white whale.  But he is certainly a great whale.  I think I might add a little, mean, red eye, but I think I will wear it until I get to it.  Maybe I will try to post a better picture of it later.  But, for now, here it is....

that is absolutely 500% gorgeous!

i have such embroidery envy, once i tried to embroider a star and my friend said "wow what a nasty knot you've made there! it'll take forever to take out!" and i've been discouraged ever since

wonderful work, really!

That's darling! I love the different colors in the water - what kind of thread did you use??

I love it! It's very artistic. I like the way you (sort of) filled in Moby, it looks more creative than if you had satin stitched the whole thing. Great job! (And the red eye will be great as well)

mm, love that -- love the way you used the white inside the black outline, and the suggestion of white shading.

you must get amazing compliments when you wear your shirt!

i'm also wondering what kind of thread you used on the "water."

i would love to see anything else you've done.

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
