I would love to use a digital scrapbooking package to make a banner for my blog, but I"m sure that that would be breaking at least one copyright law.  Am I correct?

I'd rather swing on the moon than a star.

Can't you just toss the design into Adobe and make a banner that way?

If it's your own photos I don't see where you'd be running into problems, unless you're not supposed to show the digital pages anywhere other than their website

I don't know about legality...seems like digital designers tend to...uh...emphasize, shall we say, their rights to their work. Not surprising, given how easy it would be for someone else to profit off their work. I do know that most of them dont want you to use their work for pages for profit. Mostly, though, i think if you tossed the designer an email you could probabaly get permission. If you keep that email you should be free from legal trouble.

Many designers are selling blog headers or templates to create blog headers.

They are sold for personal or commercial use.  That would solve the copyright concerns.

There are some here  of both types.

I allow this use of my designs that i create and sell.   BUT,  as the above poster mentioned,  It would be best to just email the digital designer and ask Smiley
