I wanted to get some winter clothes for my baby girl because it gets VERY cold where I live, but nothing seemed to fit her good since she is a mystery breed (her mama had a secret lover).  So I thought I'd sew my own.

I used the front of a little kids jean jacket from a thrift store to make the coat.  I just turned the collar the other way and sewed on fleece lining and a strap for under the belly.  Super easy if you can find the right jacket.

I was going to buy a dog hoodie for $30 from the local petstore when I thought hey, I could sew this for next to nothing.  So I put together a pattern for the hoodie using one of her dog tees.  I used fleece so it wouldn't get so wet while she plays in the snow.

The next day we got about 1/2 a foot of snow so she even got to try out her new clothes right away.

Thanks for looking  Smiley

I saw only this line in the "Most Recent Posts" section and didn't know it was under "Pets."  For a minute there I thought- "wow!  Her life must be very interesting!  And she's so open about it!"

Very cute doggie clothes.

These are very cute clothes!  I love the denim jacket but the flowery print of the hoodie is adorable!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

What a great idea! I have a little guy..Johnnie B....a stray Boston Terrier/Jack Russell (we think) mix. He is always freezing and very dramatic about it. His chest is muscular so I have a hard time finding little coats to fit him! I am going to try this!

Sophie is definitely styling in her outfits.  She is adorable and those jackets are awesome.  I've never seen a doggie jacket with the long leg coverings.  That's a great idea.

Oh my god, that has got to be one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. Sophie's a cute little bugger, too, even if she isn't
"bone-a-fied" (ha-ha).
