This shawl almost did me in!  I've been learning to knit from Sally Melville's book and the first one is only the knit stitch.  I'm kind of liking to whole process though, even though I'm impatient to purl.  I'm getting proficient in garter stitch on a variety of needle sizes before I really move on.

Anyway, this was the biggest thing I've tackled.  It's some 200 or so stitches long and each row starts a new yarn.  I love it and its so warm!  It has about 9 different yarns, most of which was scrap or purched at the thrift.

Whaddaya think? Cheesy

It looks lovely, well done!
I wouldn't worry about waiting to learn to purl, it's not hard and if you can make a whole scarf in knit stitch then you're definitely ready to purl away.

Nice! I love the colors and it looks hand knit, not hand made. You must be so proud.

Wow. It looks awsome. Very nice subtle colours. I love hearing about the thrifty yarn too! ^_^ You must be very pleased with it. I second the motion to move on the some purl, already! You look like you can handle it quite nicely.

Wow, I'm impressed that you could hold yourself back like that for the good of your knitting. I'm too impatient.

I guess I did sign up, but I didn't get any email on it and when I checked the boards again it said too many people had tried to sign up!  Pooh!  I really wanted to be in this one!!! Sad
