Ok yesterday's project ended up being painting my daughter's desk. It had been a lime green with lavendar drawers (oops paint we had) but it was time for those colors to go. We went to Wal*Mart and while looking around saw some gorgous wrapping paper that my daughter loved. It was a chocolate brown with a dark teal
floral/paisley type pattern on it. Now sadly I don't have the skills to
duplicate that pattern nor did I want to spend $3 on a roll of wrapping paper in order to figure a way to do it so we got some chocolate/walnut colored spray paint, some pearl teal acrylic craft paint and gold craft paint and this is what we came up with. Under $10 for supplies and the original desk was about $10 or less at a thrift store, and she's had it for a few years. Also painted
the knobs which came from an old dresser of ours.

I thought so too, I love those colors together but she picked them out herself. She's not quite 9 too. Pretty good tastes if I do say so myself. LOL

The brown is more chocolate looking in RL.
