My bf lives in Newark! I'm in PA, but I visit now and again. I spent the summer in Newark crafting my little heart out. The yarn shop there is nice... so much good stuff. Cheesy

Have you ever been to that bead shop? I think it's near Perkins... Sparkles Bead Shop or something... I've been curious to go, but it always seems closed when I'm in that plaza. Maybe over Spring Break I'll make a better effort to check it out.

You know I've never been. I've meaning to check that place out for over a year but still haven't gotten around to it.

...We have a yarn shop?? Where?

Yes! It's called "Stitches With Style" and to get there you get on 273 and turn at the Red Mill/ Old Mill or something exit and it's on Pollydrummond (lane? circle?) in a shopping center on your right which includes a grocery type store. Terrible directions, I know. If you google their name and Delaware it should come up with a better address; that's how I found it.

Check it out! The yarn ladies are really helpful and they have some nice stuff!

I live in Newark, right by the University. I've been to that bead shop before. It has a lot of glass beads, and that's about it. I found some pretty cool stuff there, but be prepared to spend a good amount of money.

I work up at Clayton Hall at UD.  They apparently have a knitting group at the Newark library every other tuesday, anyone ever been?  I always mean to check it out, but I work a second job and Tuesday's a regular shift for me.

Keep on keepin' on, knittahs

I'm in Wilmington, but I am generally all over the place. I'm from Elkton originally, so I spent time in Newark when I was a teen.

I keep meaning to go to knit nights, but damn if social anxiety hasn't gotten the best of me the past few years!

I visit Newark every now and then. Have you heard of the Newark Arts Alliance? Their building has a mosaic on the front

I'm in the Newark/Christiana Area.  I really want to start doing craft shows and such now that school is about over for me.  Do any of you do them?
