About three weeks ago it was my 18th birthday, and I had decided to have a 'Very Merry Unbirthday Party'. Or an Alice In Wonderland party, if you didn't get it lol. I was Alice Cheesy

I found this very...interesting...dress at an op shop for $2! Yay for op shops!

But it wasn't quite right, so I had to do some altering to it. I made the sleeves shorter, the skirt shorter, made a petticoat thing and turned a pillowcase into an apron.

TADA!

Aww, I look so odd lol.

Action shot! We all went down to meet one of my friends at his car and as we were coming back everybody took pictures. It looked like a very cool parade.

Everybody in costume. I swear, my friends are the most awesome people I'll ever meet. Aww, corny Tongue

It wasn't that hard to alter, but I did have some trouble with the sleeves. Actually a lot. You'd think they'd be quite simple but I'd never really gathered something before in my life and I had to re-sew the left one about 3 times. It drove me nuts! Also, the hem of the dress had a couple weird points in it, but you couldn't really notice especially since I kept moving.

I wish I had some better shots of the dress, but I kinda forgot on the day. I got all wrapped up in the excitement. I'm really proud of how it turned out, my mum keeps showing it to people lol. That's kinda embarrasing Tongue

Well, that was kinda long. Thanks for reading Cheesy Hope you like the pics and the idea!

pretty dang awesome! I'm very impressed, especially with the apron- a pillowcase, that's genius.
I want to meet your friends- that group shot is fantastic.

That was a great find.  In the end it looks just like Alice's outfit!  Ingenious!

Good work with the dress. Good for you for seeing that it could be alice's dress - looks totally different.

You must have some good friends if you got two of them to agree to be Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Thanks so much everybody.

My friends actually loved being Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Smiley They kept repeating and bouncing off each other all night. It was really funny to watch Cheesy

Yay for Unbirthday's!
