I knitted a headband and I am afraid it will stretch out too much over time.  Is there a way to reinforce knitting so it doesn't stretch?  (like, i would assume one would want to do in a handle of a purse)?

You could always line it.  Grab a cute piece of fabric, and hand stitch it to the back.  My roommate just lined a knitted purse, handle and all, and it worked quite fantastically.

Will private swap for handspun yarn!

My wists.

My first thought was to line it with fabric.
