But I think I'll have to be a sellout and have my 5 pictures developed at a lab somewhere, I won't be near my school's darkroom over Christmas break!  I fee bad...

pshh, I've never even been in a darkroom  but I'd love to! I've been thinking about checking out the local community college's photography department, and seeing if they'd mind giving me a few "discounted" lessons, lol

don't be scared! I only got my sewing machine a couple of weeks ago, and so far all I've made is a pillow and two christmas stockings! lol

but I'm sure whatever you can make will be fabulous, as long as you put thought and effort into it!

I agree! IMHO the "big item" is the project you spent the most time and effort on.
So, not knowing what your non-sewing skills are - you could make a fancy photo album, a really nice frame, a detailed instructional booklet with pictures (if your partner is a point-and-shooter), a beaded camera strap. I for one would love a fancy beaded camera strap since the darn thing ends up in my photos more often than I'd like and might as well have a picture of a pretty one instead of my lovely black web deal.

i've pretty much determined myself to be a photography major thus far.
but i dont know what craftyness i can apply.
i'll have to see if i can find any photo related fabric.
and go from there.
i will prob sign up before the date is closed.
