This is the very first sock monkey I have ever made. Actually its the first time I've really used my sewing machine in ages, I'm more of a crochet girl than sewing, but when I saw a few sock monkeys recently I knew it was time to try my hand!! (May the Gods Bless whoever made that zombie sock moneky!!!)Thanks to a lovely donation to the sock monkey cause (thanks Diviny!!!) I aquired a pair of rainbow striped toe socks. From those socks was born PUNKY MONKEY the mohawk wearing rainbow striped monkey of love!

I accidently sewed the right sides together, so he's a little furry in some places, but I think it adds to the charm. Also the socks that were donated didn't have a heel, so I had to improvise. His ears are two of the toes from the other sock.  That is my hubby helping Punky Monkey model in some of the pictures. I had a blast making him, I'm thinking that he may need a few friends!
