I just finished knitting my squirrelly swedish mittens! The awesome pattern is from elliphantom.com

I used Opal sock yarn for the squirrells & snow & Trekking XXL for the background.

I love them!

Dude, those are awesome!
I've known how to knit for a little bit now, but I'm pretty much a beginner. Things like what you've knitted make me realize all the possibilities of knitting.  Grin
Thanks!

Gorgeous! And I love how you did a varigated background yarn. These are really wonderful! I am definitely saving this pattern.

I love the use of the Trekking! I've been trying to decide what colours I want to make these mittens in, maybe I'll have to find a variagated now...
Does this mean they're machine washable too? That's always a bonus.

Ha!  I read the title of this post and thought squirrelly as in difficult.  I was delighted to see actual little squirrels!  I don't wear mittens but I may have to incorporate those squirrels into an afghan square or a sock or something.  I actually can't think of anything that wouldn't be better with a squirrel border.  Great, great work!

I've worn them out in the chilly weather & now I love them even more!

Hathaldir - unfortunately Opal & Trekking aren't superwash -sigh- but I don't think I'll mind having to handwash them.

Saucychicken - I was thinking that the squirrells would look really cute in some socks, too! If you do it make sure you post!
