So this is what I'm working on, and I'm almost done.  It was supposed to be a stash buster project, but I've already ended up spending another fifty bucks on yarn for it.  All the yarns I chose though are super tactile and soft and snuggly and fairly bulky, I can't wait until it's done.  I'm almost there, just a few more squares and then I think I'll add a picot or ruffle or bobble border...  Ideas on that?

Love the colors, I wish I had time to start a project like that!

I wish I had the patience!  I don't mind making granny squares, it's sewing them together and then weaving in all the ends that I can't stand...  Very nice work!

I love the semi-randomness of the granny squares.  I'd stick with a fairly plain border, maybe ruffle to keep the slightly girlie feel going?  The bobbles might distract from the pretty squares in the middle.

It looks like it'll be a treat to wrap yourself in it once it's done!

I would also go with a simple border that way your attention is drawn to the afghan itself. I love the way this thing looks!!!!

All the squares are stash yarn, I just bought more of the yarns I already had so I could make the blanket bigger...

I'm thinking about a scalloped edge...

The choice of colors are really good   Smiley
I am doing a lot of afghans at the time, and I was inspired by your choice of colors.
