seems like a balance issue. you have a few flowers that are alittle bi but the rest are all small. a few more large flowers would really make it pop out.

This is just what I was thinking but figured that if it didn't bother anyone else, it was MY perspective that was off..... in my eye, some of the flowers need to be larger, partly because your stems are so large and partly because they're pretty uniform. Can you enlarge a few? Or insert some (much) larger blooms?

Your mom is going to love it!

Well, I've been working and I think I am finally happy with it! I like the way the darker border and the flower at the bottom give it more life (or something!). And I like that the spaces next to the vase are not so glaring anymore, those were really bothering me. I think I'll bind it in a limey green. I really appreciate all the awesome advice, seriously I was *this close* to hiding it in a dark place to be forgotton! Now that it's almost done I've got more time to spend looking at the gorgeous quilts on here (IE ignoring my husband!)!

Wow what an amazing difference that border makes! I love it even more now.

Wow!  yeah! fanatastic!  Great improvement!  I love it.

You did a great job -- it takes a lot of courage to hacking back into something.  I, for one, am very proud of you for making that leap!

It's great.  Simply grand.  :-)

It does look perfect now!  I didn't have time earlier to post up my suggestion - but it looks like your solution was way better than mine (dark thread squiggles and swirls around in the background...)

very nice!!!

In my humble opinion, it is just beautiful. Your fabric choices are so fun, and the striped border was a perfect choice. Awesome job! Please post another pic once it's got the binding attached! :-)

Delightful!  You did such a great job!  I'm glad we could help support your insecurity about it, cause it was brilliant to begin with, and just keeps getting better!

oh my god. The middle flower, the yellow ones? the one behind that other one.

I have that sheet.

I was like...man, that looks familiar. Then i was like OMG NO WAY.

I made a hippy apron top out of it, and a lot more I'll make something with.

That makes me really happy.

btw...it looks awesome.
