Upon being told by my mother that I had to make a gift for the baby of one of her coworkers, I decided that making some widdle sockies would be a quick and easy gift.... No real pattern... They're toe ups....

awwww...they're great!

But why do you have to make a gift for the coworker of your Mom?
I hope she at least paid you?
Sorry..I guess it's none of my business.

Well, the mother of the baby is the older sister of one of my best friends when I was in middle school, so there was subsequent prodding of "You should make something." My mother knitted a blanket, a sweater and a bonnet for the baby so she's done a lot more stitches than I did with these socks. Wink

Ah..I told myself as I was writing that some story was connected to this, that was more or less the scenario you described.
I really should just keep quiet.
But at almost 1000 posts, that isn't very likely to happen.
Anyways, lucky baby, and lucky Mommy of baby.
