Howdy knitters!  Thought I'd post a picture of the progress that I've made on my top-down.

Just one and a half more sleeves and then it is on to the neck.  I'm thinking something loose and turtleneck-y, but am not sure how to do that, so we'll see!

its beautiful!!! the shape is lovely... cant waite to see it done.. which kind of yarn were you using again? it looks like it knits up really nice!

i am finished mine... ok i have 2 more ends to weave in... but im finito!! im super stoked... i kinda am not totally diggin the hood right now... but im sure once it gets worn around i will love it... oh and im still thinking about some little stitch embellishments on the hood to make it more fun, but well see... pics in a bit.

It's Patons Classic Wool in black.  I got it for a song awhile back when Michael's was having a sale on it.  Yay yarn sales!

is that moss stitch on the bottom band?

It's seed stitch.  Which may be the same thing as moss stitch?  It's K P K P... on the first row and then on the next row you knit the purls and purl the knits.

i just signed up for a flikr account... so now i am posting pics of the button band... its garter stitch and nice and off center.. and i love it... i have to retake pics of the whole sweater, so those will be coming... ** and here they are**

i super love this sweater.. its definately not perfect, but its pretty... i need to put this spiral on soemthing else... i love doing color work... im not the best at it.. but its so pretty..

i cant waite to start on my next top down raglan!

Dayum, spirals!  That is one hot sweater.  Love the stripes and the hood.

treb -- how many balls of yarn did you need?

I have five balls and I'm only my third ball right now with a sleeve and a half to go.  That should be plenty, right?

thanks guys im really happy with how it turned out... theres definately a few things i would change but nothing thats going to stop me from wearing it... i too LOVE how the sleevs turned out... i am really liking the striping pattern.. cant waite to use it on something else... hmmm now what should i make?? i want to start something NOW.
