I would like to get some smallish pieces of brightly colored leather, but am not sure where to go.  I've looked in Michaels, but not a lot of selection.  I will try a fabric shop, but I'm not expecting much from that, either.

Anyone have any online sources?

I've seen all kinds of cool leather on eBay. There's a whole section for selling leathercraft-related goods. Want some purple Italian lambskin? Or how about red croc-embossed cowhide?

depends on how big your local fabric shop is. the one I go to in the city is like a giant warehouse, and has a whole section dedicated to leather. although the internet would probably be a better place to find something specific, like colored leather, so I second ebay.

I've had good luck with our local (small town) upholsterer - as it's all scrap (and cheap).
