I can't believe it's been about 6 weeks since I've last been on here!  I've been really busy, with pretty much no spinning going on.  Anyway, I finally have something new to show!  Yay!

My partner, Gail, and I have a business where we sell hand-dyed yarn and fiber.  Anyway, we just had a trunk show at our local yarn shop on Saturday, and during the day Gail carded rolags with our wool, mohair, and sparkle fibers and blended in a little soy silk I happened to have, and gave the rolags to me to spin.  I got a bobbin and a 1/3 done during the show, and filled up the rest of the second bobbin and plied it all together yesterday.

Here's what we got:

We're calling it the Road to Persia because of all the different colors in it.  Here are some close up pictures:

And to give you an idea of how huge this is (8 7/8 oz and 413 yards!), here it is hanging on my wheel:

It's a monster.  There are more pictures on my blog (including some of the rolags and the carding process):

I missed you guys!  Can't wait to spin tonight!  Smiley

You'll have to post of pic of the "shawl thingy" she plans on making! Very inspiring. What sort of sparkle fiber did you use?
