I'm still seriously having trouble finding a wholesaler for superwash yarn.  I guess it's a trade secret  Undecided

not reading this whole thread as i am not a yarn dyer- but i do dye hemp fabric- and boy is it NICE.

a little dye goes a long way and curing times are very short since the hemp takes the dye awesome-ly.

www.hemptraders.com for hemp yarn.

i haven't ordered from them (yet, haha) but www.dharmatrading.com seems to have a decent selection of yarns for dyeing.

here's a link to their undyed yarns: http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/2298399-AA.shtml

A fairly good one for wholesale is http://www.paradisefibers.net.  I believe this is where Scout J of Scout's Swag gets her undyed yarn.

I know you mentioned finding a source outside of Henry's Attic - but I have to say, I went in on a very large order with an ebay buddy once...and got a damned good deal on a ton of yarn from there - much of which I am still skeining up and dying. It was a few years ago, so I am not sure if they have changed in pricing or wholesale ordering.

I do know that the cotton chenille sells really well for me (anything that resembles Colinette yarn sells well for me) both as skeined yarn and knit up as sweaters or scarves etc.

I am also a www.dharmatrading.com fan for dyes and really trust them - I have not tried their yarn, however, I do think their shirts etc are way overpriced.

Just my 2 cents Smiley

I really love the Kona Superwash sock yarn. It looks so thing and meh but then you dye it and it puffs up to a wonderful texture, and it grabs dye so well.

Just wondering if anyone has ordered directly from Henry's Attic lately? I used to when I had someone to share the massive order with...but have not in a while and have no idea where my contact info is for them or what the minimum order is now - I think it was $500 when I bought last... Huh

I might just see if anyone wants to go in on a large order with me...tho, the last thing i need is more yarn Smiley

I just made an order; give me a couple weeks and I'll hopefully be ready to make another. Smiley

I think they upped the initial order to $500, and the re-order is  $200.. I'll double-check when I can find the paperwork I got from them last time.
