Well, when you put it that way, it sounds like a great idea!  Grin Off to find some recipes.. (unless someone has one they'd like to share!)

I do love the jalapeno jelly, plus it looks really pretty for the holidays.

There is a recipe for pomegranate jelly in Martha Stewart's "Holiday" magazine that just came out, or there is one at http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=recipe&m=recipe/knet_recipe_display&u1=bytype&u2=13*156&u3=**10*28&wf=9&recipe_id=52012 which looks nigh the same as the MS one. Hope that helps! There are actually a lot of jam/jelly/marmelade recipes on Kraft's website, some of which sound really great. Pineapple anyone?  Shocked

This is so weird - I never saw this post and I just made pomegranite jelly yesterday.  I also did a pom/blueberry one, and a cran/raspberry one.  They all turned out quite nicely - the pom was a deep red/burgundy.  All three got approval from my volunteer (not really, I just shoved toast with jelly in their faces and they ate them) taste testers and were super easy to make.

Another good one is cran-apple, with cinnamon.

Or wine/herb/garlic with cranberry, or apple for a savoury jelly for roasts, or cheeses.

If anyone is swapping with me & happens to see any of the Pickup Trucks Forever stamps on their mail - please pop them in the package for me - my hubby would love them!  Huge pre-emptive thanks

I think pomegranite is used in more things more than people realize...so I dont think it would be strange at all...

in fact, I think it would be both yummy and beautiful.

That red colour is why I thought it would be festive. Y'all have convinced me! Pomegranate is the way I'm going! Grin

Ditto!

Pomegranate's gotten awfully trendy lately... seems like everywhere I turn, there's a pomegranate flavoured or scented product. Smiley  I'm quite sure most people would have to be living under a rock not to know about the fruit at this point (not that I'm complaining.. I love the stuff!)

It would be nice substitute for cranberry sauce for those adventurous types at the holiday table, come to think of it.

McJulie-O, I share your attitude. I detest people so ungrateful...and ungraceful as to make unkind comments on a gift.
Noone owes us anything in this world..a gift is to be treasured.
